Donna Walker-Nixon, a recipient of the prestigious Minnie Stevens Piper award, is the founding editor of Windhover: A Journal of Christian Literature and the co-founding editor of the Langdon Review of the Arts in Texas. As co-editor with James Ward Lee of the New Texas Series, she was instrumental in bringing the journal to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. In 2010, her debut novel Canaan's Oothoon was published by TAGS Publishing. Her short story "Tented Amusements" appeared in the premier issue of Journal of Texas Women Writers. Her fiction has also appeared in Red Boots and Attitude, Writing on the Wind, Billy Bob Hill's collection Texas Short Stories, as well as in Descant, Echoes, and Concho River Review.
