Pablo Neruda 
Pablo Neruda (1904-1973) remains an iconic and much beloved Chilean poet. A recipient of the Nobel Prize for literature, he was also a diplomat and a political lightning rod. Colombian novelist Gabriel García Márquez once called Pablo Neruda "the greatest poet of the 20th century in any language."
